Making Choices!!!

I found these interesting lines as i was reading from a book .....simple but yet so practical !!!!

''Choose to love- rather than hate.
Choose to smile -rather than frown.
Choose to build-rather than destroy.
Choose to persevere-rather than quit.
Choose to praise -rather than gossip.
Choose to heal-rather than wound.
Choose to give-rather than take.
Choose to act-rather than delay.
Choose to forgive-rather than curse.
Choose to pray-rather than despair.''

Lines of Yassir Fazaga

I noticed an interesting comment on my post ''Its only Words'',which inspired me a lot.I could not resist but post it again on my blog.Every line in it is so true!!!!

''Watch your THOUGHTS for they become your WORDS;
Watch your WORDS for they become your ACTIONS;
Watch your ACTIONS for they become your DEEDS;
Watch your DEEDS for they become your HABITS;
Watch your HABITS for they become your CHARACTER;
Watch your CHARACTER for it becomes your DESTINY''

Its only Words!!!!

''Sieve the word before it goes out''

We use this proverb quite often in our speech.The speech of a human being is one of the most precious gift given to us by the creator,to utilise it in the best of our abilities.Words are precious and powerful.Words once said cannot be withdrawn.It can lay a huge impact on the listener.It can either bring a frown that can never be forgotten or a smile to cherish through out our lives.With the usage of good words and language,we tend to prove ourselves as 'The Crown of Creation'.On the other hand,misuse of speech can result in doing harm and massive loss both to ourselves as well as others.As the great saying goes''Think twice before you speak''.

Why Women Cry !!!!

I received this by mail….Thought I would share it …

A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?" "Because I'm a woman," she told him.

"I don't understand," he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will."

Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?"

"All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.

Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, "God, why do women cry so easily?"

God said:

"When I made the woman she had to be special.

I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world,

yet gentle enough to give comfort.

I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.

I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.

I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.

I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.

I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.

And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed."

"You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides."

Self-Improvement....

We usually come across people giving their valuable advices, but seldom follow what they say. By doing so the whole motive behind it changes and goes meaningless. It cannot be considered as a valuable advice. Acting on what we say is the best way to motivate ourselves. We are so happy to advice others that we occasionally do what we advice. It is more or less cheating our selves; this leads us to living a hypocritic life. Living a good life is to be honest with our self.

''If you want to change someone for the better, first change yourself. If you want to teach someone, first practice yourself. If you want to advise someone, first act on them. If you want to control someone first control yourself. If you want to help someone, first help yourself.''

Spirit of Inquiry !!!!!

''Millions saw the apple fall,but Newton asked why.''

This quote amazed me,it put my mind into deep thinking.Human beings have been blessed by the Almighty with a unique quality 'SPIRIT OF INQUIRY',which differentiates us from the rest of the creations.In spite of this unique nature that we are endowed with,we fail to capitalise on this.
Small opportunities are often the beginning of great endeavors.We come across many instances and opportunities in our daily life that are taken for granted.We usually tend to ignore beautiful things and opportunities in our life,which in fact can bring about a whole new perspective.Instead of utilising 'The SPIRIT OF INQUIRY',we tend to waste such opportunities and play the 'blame game',directing our life into full of complaints thereby giving no scope for progress and improvement.This draws a line between Great achievers like Newton and a common man.Great achievers observe and inquire with their God given gift resulting in absolute success,where as commoners just watch other people doing things and take no initiative in becoming creative and successful.!!!!

Setting Goals....

Man is a goal seeking animal. His life only has meaning if he is reaching out and striving for his goals. (Aristotle)

The most unfortunate aspect about living a successful life is 'living life without goals’. I feel that the most important step in being successful is setting a specific goal,be it short term or long term. One of the most essential things we need to do for our self is to choose a goal that is important to us, always considering them as believable or achievable. Defining goals is the next important step to move towards it. Our goals can only be reached through formulating a plan and vigorously acting on them. This enables us to keep our mind focused on our goal and prepare us for the many obstacles that will arise when we're striving to do our best. We can always do better...We can always grow and learn from our experiences because nobody is perfect. With the right mental attitude nothing can stop us from achieving our goals. While working for that goal we'll automatically develop everything we need to reach it. Once we have set all of this ......Then, with supreme confidence, determination and disregard for any obstacles we will definitely achieve our destination. But always remember to make sure that all our goals must be based on positive thoughts, behaviour and actions if not all is in vain!!!!

Our goals determine what type of a person we are going to be !!!!

Being Good....

Being good is doing good ...This is the best option one can choose to live a purposeful life ...Life without purpose is like a ship drifting on high seas not really knowing where to go...let us not make our life similar to that ...We all have a purpose to fulfill ...Being good is a key important factor to lead a purposeful life....It does not matter even if we have to incorporate small positive changes,but when done regularly,it brings about a change in our total personality that makes us feel good.Let us start by picking up small stones of goodness to enable us to move huge mountains of success in our lives.
I would like to post few treasured pearls of wisdom from my dairy,as they say every drop of water makes the mighty ocean likewise every good change we make,brings about a complete change in totality.
The best thing to give to YOURSELF is RESPECT
The best thing to give your CHILD is EXAMPLE ;

The best thing to give your FATHER is REVERENCE;
The best thing to give your MOTHER is GOOD CONDUCT that will make her proud of you;

The best thing to give to your enemy is FORGIVENESS;
The best thing to give to your OPPONENT is TOLERANCE;

The best thing to give to your FRIEND is EAR;
The best thing to give to ALL MEN is CHARITY.

Good Thoughts.....

Thoughts are like shadows to our personality...We must take care of what we think...Whenever a thought materialises it becomes an action.Our actions depends on the way we think.Nobody can control our thoughts.Thoughts are linked with our feelings and emotions....We must always nurture good thinking....develop good feelings....Good thoughts are like good seeds. The more we plant good seeds in fertile soil,better the harvest we derive......positive thoughts always generate happiness and gives us a whole new opportunity to look forward,but on the other hand negative thoughts often generates the feeling of depression and sorrow .....If we entertain noble and good thoughts, we will develop a noble character..... if we entertain bad and evil thoughts,we will develop a bad character.

A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he becomes.
-Mahatma Gandhi
